TESTIMONIALS
Maisha’s professional development sessions with our staff were extremely timely and helpful. I appreciate how conscientious she was of the emotional well-being of everyone in the room. She took the time to understand how everyone was doing before getting into the formal content of the sessions. Maisha was an expert in helping us navigate complex emotions, and her WASH concept made it easier to exercise honest self-reflection. Her vulnerability was impressive, as well as her ability to create a safe space. Her sessions are great, especially for those of us in helping professions.

We have been fortunate to host Ms. Maisha Howze on multiple occasions at the Community College of Allegheny County. She has facilitated intentional, open, and honest conversations on the complexities of diversity, equity, and inclusion, which are priorities at our institution. In order to move the needle forward to create a workplace environment that values a sense of belonging, opportunities for self and collective reflection are essential. Most recently, Ms. Howze led our summer book read and workshop series centered on her book W.A.S.H.: Time To Do YOUR Laundry, which was transformational for our faculty, staff, and administrators by providing tools and guidance to reflect on our own healing so they we can show up at our best to assist and support our students.
I had the pleasure of having Maisha Howze facilitate a group event for my staff at The Village Center for Holistic Therapy, and I was thoroughly impressed by her presentation and ability to engage everyone. Her professionalism, dependability, and extensive knowledge stood out, but what truly sets her apart is her gift for creating safe, welcoming spaces where participants feel comfortable exploring challenging topics. I was so impressed that I invited her back and also contracted her to facilitate events during my retreats through my other business, inJOY Meditation, LLC. Maisha’s kind yet direct, empathetic approach fosters meaningful connections, making her an invaluable asset to any group setting.

"W.A.S.H. is, undeniably, one of the most striking memoirs of the new century. Maisha Howze, you have superbly and graciously aligned the process of laundering our clothing to laundering our lives; past and present. Healing is for everyone, who seeks to be cleansed. I am thoroughly enjoying your work, as I read about your load and labor of love."

"Your book should be required reading. I am loving it!"
